Dubai International Airport (DXB) is one of the world's busiest airports for international traffic and the home hub of Emirates. At peak times, the wait at the security checkpoint can build up quickly. Fast Track — access to a priority security lane — moves you past that pinch point in minutes, with exactly the same regulatory screening as the standard queue.
How Fast Track works at Dubai
Fast Track at Dubai gives you access to a dedicated security lane, separate from the general queue. The screening itself is identical (cabin-bag scanner, body scanner): only the wait changes. You book online, choose your date, and receive a voucher with a QR code by email to show at the entrance of the priority lane.
At Dubai, access starts from 15 AED per person. The exact price and availability are shown live for your terminal and time slot when you book.
Where to use Fast Track across Dubai's terminals
DXB is organised around three terminals (T1, T2 and T3). Terminal 3 is dedicated to Emirates and is one of the largest airport buildings in the world; Terminal 2 serves as flydubai's base, among others; Terminal 1 handles many international carriers.
The Fast Track entry point depends on your terminal. Check your terminal on your boarding pass before booking, then head to the priority lane shown on your voucher. If in doubt, arrive with your usual margin: Fast Track cuts the wait at security, not the time needed for check-in or bag drop.
How much time you save
At departure peaks and in high season, the standard queue at DXB can be long. With the priority lane, your security check is usually done in a few minutes. The benefit is greatest on busy days — Dubai has many late-night and early-morning departures, along with heavily travelled weekends and holidays.
VIP lounges at Dubai
Beyond Fast Track, Dubai offers VIP lounges you can access regardless of your airline or ticket class: a quiet space, wifi, drinks and food before your flight. It is the natural companion to Fast Track, turning an unavoidable wait into useful time. Available lounges and their prices are shown with the other services when you book.
Meet & Greet and VIP assistance
Dubai also offers a Meet & Greet service: an agent meets you on arrival or departure and escorts you through the airport, priority lane included, all the way to your gate or the exit. Handy for a first visit to DXB, family travel, a tight connection or a business trip. Availability and price are shown when you book.
Tips for your trip through DXB
- Book ahead: priority slots are limited at peak times.
- Keep your QR voucher available offline (a screenshot): the network can be congested at the airport.
- Plan for the right terminal: Dubai's terminals are far apart and switching between them can take time.
- Fast Track does not exempt you from security rules: liquids and electronics are presented just as in the standard queue.
