Katowice Wojciech Korfanty Airport (KTW) sits about 30 km north of Katowice, at Pyrzowice, and serves the Upper Silesian conurbation — one of the densest urban regions in Poland. Terminals: check your letter first

Unlike a single-terminal regional airport, Katowice runs several passenger terminals, identified by letter. Your departure terminal is printed on your boarding pass and shown on the departure boards — check it before you leave for the airport, because the terminals are separate buildings and the priority lane belongs to the checkpoint of the terminal you actually fly from. The exact entry point is shown on your voucher.

How much time you save

Katowice's schedule is built around banks of departures: early mornings, weekend waves, and a strongly seasonal charter programme in summer and during the winter holidays. Beyond the priority lane, Katowice has business lounges in Terminal A and in Terminal B, open to you regardless of airline or ticket class. Expect a quiet seat away from the gates, wifi, hot and cold drinks and something to eat before boarding. Getting to the airport

Katowice Airport is not in the city: it lies roughly 30 km north, near Pyrzowice, and is reached by road. Coach and shuttle services connect it to Katowice city centre and to other Silesian cities, and it is also used by travellers from the Kraków area. Allow generously for the transfer, especially for an early-morning departure — the time you save at security is easily lost on the way in.
