How Fast Track works at Barcelona-El Prat

Fast Track in Barcelona is access to a dedicated security lane, separate from the general queue. The screening itself is identical (bag scanner, body scanner): only the waiting time changes. You book online by choosing the airport, the service, the date and paying by card (Stripe), then receive a QR code voucher by email to show at the entrance of the priority lane.

In Barcelona, access starts from €12.36 per person, per passage. The exact price shown at booking depends on your date and time slot, and SkyEntry Pass members pay a reduced rate.

Where to use it: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2

Barcelona-El Prat is built around two separate terminals, T1 and T2, which are not connected airside. T1 handles most of the traffic (including the majority of long-haul flights and the main Star Alliance, SkyTeam and oneworld carriers); T2 mainly serves low-cost airlines.

The Fast Track entry point depends on your terminal. Check your terminal on your boarding pass before booking, then head to the priority lane shown on your voucher. If in doubt, arrive with your usual margin: Fast Track cuts the wait at security, not the time needed for check-in or bag drop.

How much time you save

How much time you save depends on how busy the airport is, and it shows most at peak times, when the standard queue gets long. The gain is greatest on the busiest days — early departures, weekends and school holidays.

VIP lounges at Barcelona

Booking window and cancellation

You can reserve Fast Track at BCN the same day you travel, or up to 180 days (6 months) in advance. Cancelling a booking depends on the airport partner's deadline (generally between 24 hours and 2 hours before the slot, depending on the airport and time of year), which is stated in the confirmation e-mail; after that deadline, or in case of no-show, no refund is possible.

Tips for your trip through BCN

• Book ahead: priority slots are limited at peak hours.
• Keep your QR voucher available offline (screenshot): the network can be congested at the airport.
• Plan the right terminal: a T1 ↔ T2 transfer takes time (dedicated shuttle bus).
• Fast Track does not exempt you from security rules: liquids and electronics are presented as in the standard queue.
