Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is the main gateway to Tenerife and one of the busiest airports in Spain's Canary Islands, handling most of the island's international and holiday charter traffic. At peak times — when several flights depart within the same window — the wait at security can build up quickly. Fast Track — access to a priority security lane — lets you clear that bottleneck in a few minutes, with exactly the same regulatory checks as the standard queue.
How Fast Track works at Tenerife South Airport
Fast Track at Tenerife South is access to a dedicated priority security lane, separate from the general queue. The screening itself is identical — bag scanner and walk-through detector — so only the waiting time changes. You book online, choose your travel date, and receive a QR voucher by email to show at the entrance of the priority lane; there is no physical ticket to collect.
At Tenerife South, access starts from €11.10 per person. The exact price and availability are shown live for your date and time slot at the moment of booking.
Where to use the priority lane
Tenerife South Airport operates from a single passenger terminal, which keeps things simple: there is no shuttle or inter-terminal transfer to plan, just one security checkpoint to clear. The Fast Track entry point is at that checkpoint, next to the standard queue, and the exact location is shown on your voucher. The island's second airport, Tenerife North (TFN), sits inland near the capital and mainly handles inter-island and Spanish mainland flights.
Arrive with your usual margin all the same: Fast Track shortens the wait at security, not the time needed for check-in or bag drop. Check your airline's check-in cut-off before you leave for the airport.
How much time you save
Tenerife South is a strongly seasonal, holiday-driven airport: early-morning departure banks, weekends and school holidays concentrate passengers into a short window. At those peaks the standard queue can grow long, even in a single, well-sized terminal. With the priority lane, clearing security usually drops to just a few minutes. The benefit is greatest on the busiest mornings, precisely when a tight departure schedule leaves the least margin for delay.
VIP assistance and Meet & Greet at Tenerife South
Beyond the priority lane, Tenerife South offers a VIP Meet & Greet assistance service: an agent welcomes you at an agreed point and guides you through the airport formalities for a smooth journey from door to gate. It suits families, senior travellers, first-time visitors, tight connections, or anyone who simply wants a hands-off transit. The service and its prices are shown with the other options at the moment of booking.
Stay connected in the Canary Islands with an eSIM
To land in Tenerife already connected — no roaming fees, no hunting for airport wifi — you can add a data eSIM to your booking. It activates before departure and works the moment you land, handy for maps, booking a transfer or finding your way to your hotel and the resorts of the south. Available plans and their prices are shown with the other services at booking.
Tips for your trip through TFS
- Book ahead: priority slots are limited at peak hours.
- Keep your QR voucher available offline (a screenshot): the network can be congested at the airport.
- Respect the check-in cut-off: Fast Track does not exempt you from the prior formalities.
- Fast Track does not exempt you from security rules: liquids and electronics are presented just as in the standard queue.
